Many local authorities now require an environmental impact survey to be undertaken before considering planning applications.

From my home county of Norfolk Aurum Ecology now find themselves being asked to undertake surveys further and further from their base. I have known John and Sue Aurum EcologyGoldsmith for many years and can vouch for the quality of their work.

Whilst the physical aspect of completing survey work is time consuming there is much scope in speeding up the office production work. All such survey work is time critical and electronic delivery to both client and planning department are areas where much time may be saved.

Whilst surveying, factors such as temperature and humidity may be recorded onto a notebook for further analysis. Motion detectors and IR cameras can also play their part in ways impossible only a few short years ago.
